[The Commander]

These are the traditional ways to start a Clan meeting or Ceremony.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join together for a Clan meeting."
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the [highrock, highbranch, treestump, etc] for a Clan meeting."


Apprentice Ceremony

Leader: "We are gathering here today because it is time to name another apprentice. From this day forward, until he/she has earned his/her warrior name, this apprentice will be called PREFIXpaw. MENTOR'S NAME, you will train PREFIXpaw. You have showed MENTOR'S VIRTUES and I hope that you will pass on all you know to your new apprentice."

Leader: "We are gathering here today because it is time to name another apprentice. From this day forward, until he/she has earned his/her warrior name, this apprentice will be called PREFIXpaw. MENTOR'S NAME, you will train PREFIXpaw. You have showed MENTOR'S VIRTUES and I hope that you will pass on all you know to your new apprentice."

Warrior Ceremony

Leader: "I, LEADER'S NAME, Leader of CLAN'S NAME, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. PREFIXPAW, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?" 

Apprentice: "Yes"

Leader: "Then, by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. PREFIXPAW, from this moment on/forth, you will be known as WARRIOR NAME. Starclan honors you, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CLAN'S NAME."

Leader: "I, LEADER'S NAME, Leader of CLAN'S NAME, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. Deputy Ceremony

Leader: "I, LEADER'S NAME say these words before Starclan, that the spirits of our ancestors, and OLD DEPUTY'S NAME's spirit, may hear and approve my choice. NEW DEPUTY'S NAME will be the new deputy of CLAN'S NAME." 

Leader: "I, LEADER'S NAME say these words before Starclan, that the spirits of our ancestors, and OLD DEPUTY'S NAME's spirit, may hear and approve my choice. NEW DEPUTY'S NAME will be the new deputy of CLAN'S NAME."
Elder Ceremony

Leader: "WARRIOR'S NAME, is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?"

Warrior: "It is."

Leader: "Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon Starclan to give you many seasons of rest."

Leader: "WARRIOR'S NAME, is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?"
Warrior: "It is."

Medicine Cat Ceremony

Medicine Cat: "I, MED CAT NAME, medicine cat of CLAN NAME, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help he/she will serve his/her Clan for many moons. 

APPRENTICE NAME, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: "I do." 

Medicine Cat: "Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. APPRENTICE NAME, from this moment you will be known as NEW NAME. Starclan honors your VIRTUES, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of CLAN NAME."
